The biblical foundation of divine healing

The prophetic promise: Isaiah 53:4–5

“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” (KJV)

Through the redemptive work of Christ, provision was made not only for our spiritual restoration, but for the wholeness of our physical bodies and peace of mind.

The living fulfillment: Matthew 8:14–17

“When Jesus came into Peter's home, He saw his mother-in-law lying sick in bed with a fever. He touched her hand, and the fever left her; and she got up and waited on Him. When evening came, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed; and He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were ill. This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet: ‘He himself took our infirmities and carried away our diseases.’” (NASB1995)

Divine healing in our modern world

At Willie Brown Pentecostal Ministries, we believe that the miraculous power of God did not cease with the early church. Scripture reminds us in Hebrews 13:8 that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Through prayer, the laying on of hands, and the active ministry of the Holy Spirit, God continues to bring physical restoration, emotional release, and renewal to hurting bodies today. Whether through workshops, seminars, or personal prayer ministry, we stand on God's enduring promises for your total wholeness.
